While Rochelle's win against Kaneland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hubs won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Knights 21-20. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Hubs were the better team in the second half.

Roman Villalobos was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 134 yards and three scores. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Kaneland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hayden Nowak rushed for 141 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries.

Rochelle now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kaneland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Coming up, Rochelle will challenge Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hubs are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Kaneland, they will take on LaSalle-Peru at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.71 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
