Basketball Recap: Cesar E. Chavez Victorious

If Kashmere wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cesar E. Chavez, they should've done a better job of containing Johntta Thomas. The stars were shining brightly for the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos in a 48-31 victory over the Kashmere Fighting Rams on Friday thanks in part to Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played.

Cesar E. Chavez's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Kashmere, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Cesar E. Chavez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-43 victory against Houston Math Science & Tech on the 21st. As for Kashmere, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-64 defeat against Sterling on the 27th.
