Volleyball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin's tournament run continued when they took on Elk Grove on Saturday. The Yellowjackets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thundering Herd.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16.

Carmen Walker paced Franklin's offense, picking up four kills. Walker got some help from Lexie Shobert and her seven assists. Shobert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Elk Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against McNair on the 11th. As for Elk Grove, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Los Banos on the 11th.
