Baseball Recap: Perquimans Takes Down East Bladen in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Perquimans walked away with it. They skirted past the East Bladen Eagles 10-9. Ten seems to be a good number for the Pirates as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Ben Brown was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Sean Saunders, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Perquimans was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Perquimans is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for East Bladen, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-11.

As of now, neither Perquimans nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
