Baseball Recap: Mandeville Takes a Loss

Mandeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hahnville Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Skippers have suffered since March 9, 2024.

Mandeville got a good showing from Logan McNamara, who struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. McNamara has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Mandeville now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hahnville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mandeville will host South Terrebonne at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hahnville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chalmette at 4:00 p.m.
