Volleyball Recap: Kaukauna Takes a Loss

Kaukauna lost against Middleton on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Galloping Ghosts fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1.

Alexis Van Elzen paced Kaukauna's offense, picking up nine kills. Van Elzen got some help from Kala Lahm and her ten assists. Keira Plate controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Middleton can attribute much of their success to Elyssa Ross, who had seven digs and two assists.

Kaukauna has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Middleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Kaukauna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Appleton North on the 16th. As for Middleton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Kettle Moraine on the 13th.
