Soccer Recap: Pinconning Comes Up Short

Pinconning lost against Standish-Sterling back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Pinconning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Standish-Sterling are ranked 150th).

This is the second loss in a row for Pinconning and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Standish-Sterling, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Pinconning has already played their next game (against Calvary Baptist Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Standish-Sterling, they will face off against St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
