Basketball Game Preview: Narragansett Mariners vs. Toll Gate Titans

The Narragansett Mariners will square off against the Toll Gate Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Narragansett's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while Toll Gate has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Narragansett is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: East Providence, who was ranked 14th at the time (Narragansett was ranked sixth). Narragansett blew past East Providence 55-32 on Wednesday. The Mariners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Toll Gate lost 39-18 to Cumberland on Thursday.

Mary McNulty was Toll Gate's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Aria Eddy held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Toll Gate's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Narragansett, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
