Softball Recap: Poyen Takes a Loss

If Poyen was riding high fresh off their 16-4 takedown of Mineral Springs last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Poyen took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bismarck Lions on Saturday. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Poyen's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bismarck, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Poyen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-3 defeat against Bradley on the 22nd. As for Bismarck, they will take on Smackover at 5:00 p.m. on the 31st.
