Softball Recap: Rancho Dominguez Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Rancho Dominguez's offense. They lost 21-0 to the Banning Pilots on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lobos in their meetings with the Pilots: they've now lost eight in a row.

Rancho Dominguez's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Banning, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho Dominguez will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Pedro at 3:15 p.m. on the 23rd. The Pirates will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Lobos surely won't give up without a fight. Banning also won't see the field for a while: their next match is against Palos Verdes at 3:15 p.m. on the 21st.
