Soccer Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage lost against Freedom back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pride came up short against the Eagles, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Heritage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Freedom are ranked 21st).

Heritage has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Freedom, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rock Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Freedom, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Osbourn at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
