Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Comes Up Short

Shenandoah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since July 3, 2024.

Shenandoah's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Denison-Schleswig, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shenandoah beat Denison-Schleswig by a score of 9-5 later that day.
