Basketball Recap: Sweetwater Piles Up the Points Against San Ysidro

After losing to San Ysidro the last time they met, Sweetwater decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sweetwater Red Devils claimed a resounding 65-27 win over the San Ysidro Cougars. The game marked the Red Devils' most dominant victory of the season so far.

San Ysidro lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gianni Costa, who posted seven points. Richard Regala Jr. was another key player, putting up six points.

The win got Sweetwater back to even at 4-4. As for San Ysidro, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Sweetwater and Hoover will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for San Ysidro, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Valhalla at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
