Sackets Harbor Central took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Copenhagen Golden Knights by a score of 6-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Damon Serow made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Serow was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Shi, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jake Peters, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Copenhagen is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
