Football Game Preview: El Molino vs. Santa Rosa

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, El Molino should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They have had some extra time to regroup and restrategize before their next match, which is against Santa Rosa at El Molino HS at 7:30 PM. El Molino are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

El Molino came within a touchdown against Analy two weeks ago, but wound up with a 7-14 loss.

Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Santa Rosa, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They took down Balboa 33-13.

Santa Rosa's victory lifted them to 4-2 while El Molino's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. In their victory, Santa Rosa relied heavily on senior Jayvee Long, who picked up 127 yards on the ground and threw 1 TD. El Molino will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
