Baseball Recap: Manville Takes a Loss

Manville was the 5-3 winner over South Hunterdon when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Josh D'Ambrosio was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing five bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Evan Canica was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Manville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for South Hunterdon, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

While Manville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
