Basketball Game Preview: Horizon Huskies vs. Ironwood Eagles + Official Tickets

Horizon is a perfect 4-0 against Ironwood since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Horizon will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Horizon beat Sunrise Mountain 49-45.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Horizon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Schiltz, who shot 45% from the field en route to 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Schiltz continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisy Perkins, who posted eight points and nine boards.

Horizon was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sunrise Mountain only posted four.

Meanwhile, Ironwood was beaten by Mountain Ridge 51-24 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Ironwood, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything went Horizon's way against Ironwood when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Horizon made off with a 55-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
