Softball Recap: Johnsburg Comes Up Short

Johnsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Marengo Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Skyhawks of the 15-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Johnsburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Braun, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Johnsburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Marengo, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Johnsburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Woodstock at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Marengo will challenge rival Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
