Basketball Recap: Firelands Has No Trouble Against Clearview

Firelands won the last time they faced Clearview and things went their way on Friday too. The Firelands Falcons put the hurt on the Clearview Clippers with a sharp 64-40 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Several Clippers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deacon Delgado, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Delgado is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Quavion Grant, who posted 12 points.

The win made it two in a row for Firelands and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Clearview, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

Firelands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-39 victory against Oberlin on the 24th. As for Clearview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 92-53 loss against Brookside on the 24th.
