Softball Recap: Evergreen Comes Up Short

Evergreen's last matchup with Fairview could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Vikings lost 11-0 to the Apaches. The game marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Evergreen and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Fairview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evergreen will take on Wauseon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Fairview, they will face off against Defiance at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Apaches' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
