Challenger came tearing into Thursday's contest with 11 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Haywood Christian Academy Red Wolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Firebirds have posted since August 18th.

Challenger got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabriela Ramirez-Soto out in front who had 21 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Ramirez-Soto has posted since back in September.

Challenger was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Challenger's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Haywood Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
