Football Recap: Thunderbird Comes Up Short at Home Against Mingus

Thunderbird unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Mingus Marauders at home by a 15-0 margin on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Even if they lost, Thunderbird's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Looking ahead, Thunderbird is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Agua Fria at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Mingus, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Page at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
