Recap: Towson Generals vs. Linganore Lancers

The Towson Generals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 67-47 defeat at the hands of Linganore.

Towson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Korey Collins, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. Braden Renner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Linganore's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Petruzzello led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Petruzzello hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Dylan Hodgson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds.

Towson has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Linganore, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.

Towson will be playing in front of their home fans against Carver A&T at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carver A&T is coming into the contest with five straight losses on the road, meaning Towson will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Linganore is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Tuscarora at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
