With a playoff win on the line, Elkhart rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Goshen RedHawks as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the RedHawks: they've now won nine in a row.

Elkhart's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Walker led the charge by getting ten digs and two aces. Walker is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Walker wasn't the only good servers: Elkhart was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive contests.

Elkhart's win bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Goshen, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

Elkhart has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Warsaw on the 18th. Goshen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
