Soccer Game Preview: Belding vs. Godwin Heights

Belding is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Monday. They will look to defend their home pitch against the Godwin Heights Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Belding's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Belding came up short against Ravenna on April 1st, falling 4-1.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Godwin Heights' offense. They lost 5-0 to Fruitport on Wednesday.

Belding's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Godwin Heights, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Belding beat Godwin Heights by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 1-0. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
