Preview: Southington Blue Knights vs. Glastonbury Guardians        
        
		
            
 Southington is 2-8 against Glastonbury since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Southington Blue Knights will head out on the road to  challenge  the Glastonbury Guardians at 6:45  p.m. Both teams are coming into the  contest red-hot, with Southington sitting on  three straight  victories and Glastonbury on four.
 Southington put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season  on Thursday. They put the hurt on Hall with a sharp  55-29 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win Southington has posted  yet this season.
 Southington relied on the efforts of   Lily Cooper, who  scored 13 points along with six  assists and six  rebounds, and   Bethany Borges, who  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and 13  rebounds. That's the first time this season that  Borges  scored 15 or more  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Katie Doherty, who  scored 11 points along with three  steals.
 Meanwhile,  even though Berlin scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Glastonbury still came out on top. Glastonbury beat Berlin by the very same score they won with last week:  58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win Glastonbury has posted  yet this season.
 Southington now  has a winning record of 6-5. As for Glastonbury, their victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-2.
 Southington came up short against Glastonbury when the teams last played  back in December of 2023, falling  52-48. Can Southington avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
