Soccer Game Preview: Veritas Academy vs. Lititz Christian

The Veritas Academy Monarch will challenge the Lititz Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Veritas Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Veritas Academy came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to New Covenant Christian. While losing is never fun, Veritas Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 508th, while New Covenant Christian are ranked 222nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lititz Christian). They put the hurt on Harrisburg Academy with a sharp 11-2 win on Monday. Lititz Christian haven't had any issues with Harrisburg Academy recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Lititz Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Veritas Academy suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Lititz Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Monarch were down 3-0.
