Baseball Game Preview: Redondo Union Sea Hawks vs. West Warriors

For the second straight game, Redondo Union will face off against West. The Sea Hawks will be playing at home against the Warriors at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Redondo Union 3.6, West 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

West will be up against a hot Redondo Union team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Sea Hawks walked away with a 4-1 win over the Warriors on Wednesday.

Redondo Union got a great performance from Jack Green as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Green also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Sea Hawks are 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Michael Hines, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Redondo Union is undefeated when Hines posts two or more runs, but 7-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Parker Leoff, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory got Redondo Union back to even at 10-10. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.
