Softball Recap: Clear Brook Comes Up Short

Clear Brook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Clear Springs Chargers, falling 11-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-7 on March 4th.

Estrella Rowe was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Caydence Franklin was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Clear Brook's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Clear Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clear Brook will face off against rival Dickinson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clear Springs is set to challenge their familiar foe Clear Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
