Recap: Reeds Spring Wolves vs. Lebanon Yellowjackets
The Reeds Spring Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lebanon, falling 63-27. While losing is never fun, Reeds Spring can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while Lebanon is ranked 84th).
Lebanon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Carr, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Kelby Vandergrift, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Reeds Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Reeds Spring will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cassville at 7:30 p.m. Cassville is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Lebanon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Aurora at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. Aurora is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
