Softball Recap: Poynette Falls Short Against Ranked Pacelli

Poynette faced Pacelli in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Pumas fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Pumas couldn't push the score so high this time.

Poynette's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for Pacelli, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Poynette will welcome Lake Mills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pacelli, they will venture away from home to face off against Weyauwega-Fremont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals are facing the Warhawks at the right time seeing as the Warhawks are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
