Baseball Game Preview: St. Thomas More Sabers vs. Bloomington Central Catholic Saints

The St. Thomas More Sabers are taking a road trip to square off against the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Thomas More has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Thomas More came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 23-4 to Monticello. The Sabers haven't had much luck with the Sages recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Bloomington Central Catholic was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prairie Central.

Bloomington Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for St. Thomas More, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

St. Thomas More might still be hurting after the 16-5 defeat they got from Bloomington Central Catholic when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Sabers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
