Basketball Game Preview: Nashville Hornets vs. Waterloo Bulldogs

Waterloo will be up against a hot Nashville squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Nashville walked away with a 66-55 win over Mater Dei on Monday.

Meanwhile, Waterloo can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against Metro-East Lutheran as Waterloo made off with a 66-43 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Knights are ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nashville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Waterloo, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Everything came up roses for Nashville against Waterloo in their previous meeting back in November of 2019, as the squad secured a 47-19 win. Will Nashville repeat their success, or does Waterloo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
