The Allen County-Scottsville Patriots will face off against the Barren County Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Allen County-Scottsville took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Glasgow as they made off with a 12-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their two-run performance the match before.
Addison Ausbrooks made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Ausbrooks was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Jacie Rice was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Payton Hopkins was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Allen County-Scottsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glasgow only posted an OBP of .214.
Meanwhile, Barren County never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past Russellville 10-0. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Barren County got a massive performance out of Kaitie Elmore, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Josey Moore, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Allen County-Scottsville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Barren County, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
Both Allen County-Scottsville and Barren County just can't seem to miss. The Patriots have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Barren County struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Allen County-Scottsville was able to grind out a solid victory over Barren County in their previous matchup back in April, winning 10-7. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
