Recap: Mt. Rainier Rams vs. Kennedy Catholic Lancers
If the Mt. Rainier Rams were riding high off their 75-38 takedown of the Chief Sealth Seahawks last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The match between Mt. Rainier and Kennedy Catholic wasn't particularly close, with Mt. Rainier falling 74-57. Mt. Rainier was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kennedy Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Mt. Rainier lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Zach Luz. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The game was Luz's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Owen Brown was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Mt. Rainier now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Kennedy Catholic, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Mt. Rainier's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bonney Lake at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. As for Kennedy Catholic, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Emerald Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
