Baseball Recap: Boston College High Victorious

While Boston College High's victory against Wachusett Regional wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mountaineers 11-10. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Adam Bushley tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Sam Bushley was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Henry Austin, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Boston College High was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win snapped Boston College High's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. As for Wachusett Regional, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Boston College High and Wachusett Regional should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Eagles will take on Malden Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (42 vs. 255). Meanwhile, Wachusett Regional (ranked 97th) will meet St. Paul (ranked 207th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
