Basketball Recap: Clark/Willow Lake Falls Short of Hamlin in the Playoffs

Clark/Willow Lake and Hamlin squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Clark/Willow Lake had to settle for second. They lost to the Hamlin Chargers on the road by a 60-41 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st in South Dakota, while the Chargers are ranked seventh in South Dakota).

Clark/Willow Lake's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Hamlin, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Clark/Willow Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamlin, they will square off against Sisseton on Thursday. One thing working in Hamlin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games.
