Soccer Recap: Bishop Comes Up Short

Bishop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Calallen Wildcats, falling 16-0. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 773rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 382nd).

Bishop's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Calallen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop will host Jones at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop has given up an average of 9.6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Calallen, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Ingleside at 7:30 p.m.
