Softball Game Preview: El Camino Eagles vs. Natomas Nighthawks

For the first time this season, El Camino will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Thursday. They will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Natomas Nighthawks at 3:30 p.m. El Camino is looking for their season's first victory.

El Camino is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 17-8 to Del Campo last Tuesday.

Claire Schwartz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Za'Niyah Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 31 runs the game before, Natomas was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Sutter, falling 21-2.

Natomas' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for El Camino, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
