Recap: Holt Rams vs. East Lansing Trojans
The Holt Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by East Lansing at home and fell 73-41. While losing is never fun, Holt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while East Lansing is ranked third).
East Lansing got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayce (JL) Branson out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Hutson, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for East Lansing, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Holt will be playing at home against Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Lansing will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Okemos at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Okemos will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
