 Gaston Christian came tearing into  Monday's  game with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They never let SouthLake Christian Academy onto the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. Considering Gaston Christian has won five matches by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Katie Muchesko made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Muchesko has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Muchesko was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Oakleigh Herring and  Emerson Rushing did most of the damage at the plate:  Herring  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances, while  Rushing  went 2-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Shankel Carey, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Gaston Christian has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record  this season. As for SouthLake Christian Academy, their defeat was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 4-6.
 Gaston Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Metrolina Christian Academy at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Gaston Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1  runs per game  this season. SouthLake Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
