Basketball Recap: Kylin Mcdonald's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Community Christian Academy over CHESS Academy

Community Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the CHESS Academy Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 61-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kylin McDonald, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. The matchup was McDonald's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Thomas Hadley was another key player, putting up 16 points and eight rebounds.

Community Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for CHESS Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Coming up, Community Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Colquitt Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for CHESS Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Open Bible Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
