Baseball Recap: Issaquah Comes Up Short

Issaquah fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bainbridge on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 6-5.

Nathan McBride was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5. Drew Ness also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Issaquah's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for Bainbridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Issaquah will face off against North Creek at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The last four games the Jaguars have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bainbridge, they will square off against Bremerton at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
