Football Recap: Biggs Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Biggs was feeling good fresh off their 27-0 takedown of Highlands last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines took a blow against the Durham Trojans on Friday, falling 38-6. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Hudson Brewer, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Kolton Beynon had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 141 yards and two scores on only seven carries, while also throwing for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes for Durham. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 80 yards. Joshua Harding was another key player, rushing for 130 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Biggs' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Durham, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Biggs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-34 defeat against Maxwell on the 26th. As for Durham, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 32-8 loss against Winters on the 26th.
