Basketball Recap: Masconomet Regional's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Masconomet Regional hadn't done well against Beverly recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Masconomet Regional Chieftains came out on top against the Beverly Panthers by a score of 72-60. Given the Chieftains' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Panthers are ranked 59th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game.
