Softball Recap: Portsmouth Beats Alvirne for Their Fourth Straight Win

While Portsmouth didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Alvirne Broncos by a score of 11-6 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Clippers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Portsmouth's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Alvirne, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Portsmouth will face off against Concord at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alvirne, they will challenge Nashua North at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
