Softball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park lost against Gruver back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hornets came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 15-2. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Highland Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlin Lucas, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Gruver, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Highland Park is taking a road trip to challenge West Texas at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gruver, they will host Follett at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Greyhounds are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
