Football Recap: Marysville Monarchs vs. Lancaster Golden Gales
Marysville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 28-14 bruising from the Lancaster Golden Gales. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Gales apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.
Marysville's loss came despite strong showings from Waylon McDaniel and Justin "JJ" Henry. McDaniel rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while Henry gained 155 total yards. Henry also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making nine total tackles.
Marysville's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lancaster, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
