League recap: Chaparral's Kuhns delivers best pitching performance from past week

5A/4A Continental league recap: 5/30/13

Max Kuhns was the best pitcher in 5A/4A Continental this week, leading Chaparral. He struck out eight batters this week.

Top honors in the league this week go to Thunderridge, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. The Grizzlies beat Rocky Mountain 2-1 and Cherry Creek 5-1.

The Wolverines' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 14 hits and ten walks to lead the league in both categories.

Chaparral's Josh Nicol was locked in this week, and led the league with a .600 average (3-for-5) over that span. He's batting .397 on the year, which puts him at 35th in the league. Nicol has 23 hits total this season.



Brett Wallace hit four home runs this week.
