It was a good run, but Cardinal O'Hara unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Cardinal O'Hara saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Platt, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Platt has hit this season.

Cardinal O'Hara's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
